The Courant Research Centre `Poverty, Equity and Growth’ at the Georg-August University Göttingen is accepting applications for two Ph.D positions. This is an interdisciplinary centre that focuses on the study of development economics, agricultural economics and statistical methods. The two PhD positions form part of the Junior Research Group on Development Economics and are expected to do collaborative research with other members of the centre. The Junior Group on Development Economics works on the theoretical and empirical investigation of a wide range of policy relevant issues. For example this group uses survey and experimental data to study participation in illegal activities, adoption of environmentally friendly technologies and redistributive preferences among others.
